Carmarthenshire Care Awards 2014
Carmarthenshire’s Independent Sector Domiciliary Care Awards took place last Friday 18th July at Parc Y Scarlets in Llanelli. They shone a spotlight on the good work and innovative thinking that have successfully supported community care in Carmarthenshire.
The awards aim to recognise individuals or teams who have demonstrated and delivered outstanding customer care and are working to the social care values of responsibility, respect, honesty, innovation and who 'go the extra mile'.
Congratulations to all our staff who were shortlisted for an award:
Anne Anderson - The Outstanding Contribution to Domiciliary Care Award - Presented to the individual whom the judges believe has made a long-term outstanding contribution to social care.
Karen Jenkins - The Community Support Worker of the Year Award - Recognises the significant role of the Home Care Worker in consistently providing a high quality standard, for people living in their own homes.
Serafina Dinnino - The Frontline Leaders Award - A person who is a supervisor, senior care worker, team leader or a first time manager and has shown clear commitment to improving the delivery of care and support within their team. A person who has shown leadership qualities by reflecting on what could be better and supporting others to bring about change.
Cath Clark - The Citizens Choice Award - For an individual who can demonstrate measurable positive outcomes for people, achieved through enhancing the Putting People First Agenda with the Think Local; Act Personal theme. They will have used an innovative approach and good practice to deliver a totally personalised service for the people they support.
