Doorways annual Christmas concert 2012
Once again this year the annual Doorways Christmas concert, funded by our charitable initiative, the Gwalia Housing Trust took place in the Sacred Heart Community Centre in Morriston on December 1st.
The Morriston RFC Male Choir and Tenor, Reuben Nicholas with Treble, Alexander Illes entertained the audience with a selection of Christmas carols. They were also joined on the night by the Cwmrhydyceirw Primary School Choir directed by Ruth Evans and Craig Rees.
Compered by Robert Harwood, the concert proved a great success, getting everyone involved into the Christmas spirit and helping to raise much needed funds to support people with learning disabilities through the Doorways project.
Doorways itself has been providing care and support services to adults with learning disabilities for over 25 years and during that time, has resettled many people with a learning disability from long stay institutions back into the community. It helps enable them to gain independent living skills to enhance their life opportunities.
