Gwalia's Intranet gains recognition for excellence
We're extremely pleased to announce that we recently scooped 2 awards at the UK’s largest, dedicated intranet conference.
Held on 24-25 September, the Interaction Intranet Conference brought together some of the best online, social, communications and intranet practitioners to discuss hot topics in the industry.
As we currently have around 1500 staff in over 120 locations across Wales, our Intranet (named "The Wall") keeps our staff informed while helping them collaborate and share knowledge. We managed to beat off hot competition from the US and UK to take away wins in two categories.
The ‘Perfect Blend Homepage’ award recognised the layout of information on the site while our very own Internal Communications Officer Chris Peters-Bond walked away with the ‘Intranet Manager of the Year’ title.
Speaking of his experience at the awards ceremony Chris said: "Communicating effectively and sharing knowledge is essential in any business. It’s great that the investment Gwalia has made with its intranet and the positive impacts it’s had for staff have been recognised on an international stage."
