Mark Drakeford AM visits Plas Bryn Rhosyn
Mark Drakeford AM visited Plas Bryn Rhosyn on Thursday 4th February during a visit to the Neath area.
He was met by Michael Williams, our Chief Executive; Richard Davies, our Executive Director of Customer Services; Anthony Clements, Vice Chair of Gwalia's combined Board; Morag Firth, Regional Manager and Julian Hardwick, Senior Operations Manager for Neath Port Talbot Council.
The Minister toured a residential care suite and was impressed by the quality of the facilities, access to outside spaces and proximity to the local community.
Later he viewed a reablement suite and talked with ABMU staff about the challenges and successes of working with people to allow them to return safely to their own homes.
Following the tour the Minister joined a regular residents’ coffee morning in the Cwtch, providing a chance to hear first-hand experiences from people living at Plas Bryn Rhosyn.
