Neath Port Talbot 1940s tea dance

Residents at the 1940s tea danceAt the beginning of May, over one hundred residents and staff from across our Neath Port Talbot care homes attended a 1940s themed tea dance. Organised annually, the dance is the collaborative work of all eight of the Neath Port Talbot homes and gives staff and residents the chance to get together and socialise.

The annual tea dance allows residents from each of the care homes to dress up and celebrate a specific theme. This year, the 1940s themed dance was held at the Neath Port Talbot Naval Club and saw residents and staff dressed up in 1940s outfits with each home preforming a unique dance to a song from that era.

Staff and residents are already preparing for next year’s tea dance theme - Mamma Mia.

Lynne Perfect, our Area Manager of Residential Care of Neath Port Talbot said “It’s really lovely for all of the homes to come together each year to socialise and celebrate. All the staff work so hard and each year is better than the last. We do this essentially for the residents but the staff really enjoy too!
