Protect Your Pets - Animal Welfare Network Wales

Dogs playing with a tennis ballThe Animal Welfare Network Wales (RSPCA, Dogs Trust Wales, Cats Protection and PDSA) are running a number of Community Events throughout Wales in 2014 in order to highlight the new microchipping law which will come into effect in Wales from 1st March 2015.

The new law will make it an offence to keep a dog in Wales without a valid microchip.

The events in Cardiff from 19th - 22nd May will offer all residents on means tested benefits/Tax Credits in the Cardiff area the chance to have a health check for their pet including spaying/neutering, microchipping, worming and flea treatment for a heavily subsidised cost of just £10 per pet.

The events will take place between 10am and 3pm at the following locations:

19th - Pentrebane Community Centre, Beechley Drive, Cardiff, CF5 3SG
20th - East Moors Youth and Community Centre, Sanquahar Street, Splott, Cardiff, CF24 2AD
21st - Western Leisure Centre, Caerau Lane, Ely, Cardiff, CF5 5HJ
